We are delighted to post images of two exceptional kitchens recently installed by Design Matters in Surrey.
Both feature bespoke plain shaker style furniture with in-frame doors and custom paint finishes.
We love the lavender and soft green colour scheme that the clients have selected for this kitchen. The furniture was manufactured and primed, and painted to the customer’s requirements on site allowing the aspect of the room to be considered when selecting the paint colours. The large butler sink with custom-made wooden trays beneath are a very beautiful design feature of this room and make a focal point out of an often overlooked part of the kitchen. The Cosmic Black granite worktops have very distinctive natural patterning and have a ‘leathered’ finish which can be better appreciated in the other photographs of this project in the Portfolio section of our web site. The ‘leathered’ finish highlights the natural grain of the material and chimes with the current design trend for adding layers of texture. The kitchen below was designed for a contract project where we worked very closely with the house buyer. The kitchen was completely tailored to the client’s requirements by taking elements from a number of suppliers to get the look the they wanted. The furniture was painted with ‘Borrowed Light’ a delicate blue shade by Farrow and Ball. A range of state-of-the-art Miele appliances form the heart of the kitchen, and there is feature lighting in the display cupboards over the sink area.
