This beautiful contemporary kitchen was designed by Adam Thomas for a client in Berkshire, in metallic champagne gloss acrylic with vanilla Corian worktops.
Our client selected a fixed height worktop, with generous knee spaces for easy repositioning in and out of the main cooking and sink zone. The remote control for the extractor is discreetly integrated into the front fascia of the worktop, beneath a 60cm Neff induction hob and Elica twin motor extractor hood that effectively removes steam and heat when the hob is in use.
Neff appliances have been specified throughout, as they currently offer the best safety features. The solid surface worktop allows us to include our signature raised edging all sides of the worksurface, to contain spills and protect our client’s lap from hot liquids. This also means we have been able to specify a custom sink, to the precise depth required by our client’s physical measurements. This gives a sink of useful depth, in a completely water-resistant material.
Note the clear spaces below worktop height. Specially manufactured frames have been fabricated to support the worktop over the knee space, and the sink waste is the most slimline and unobtrusive available on the market in Britain.
To make up for the storage space lost in the knee spaces, a whole wall of tall units has been created on the opposite wall, with pull-outs below worktop height to make accessing the contents as simple as possible.
This smart kitchen is an excellent example of the very best in accessible kitchen design, only available from Adam Thomas, of Design Matters, High Wycombe, and selected distributors in Central Scotland and East Sussex.
