This classic kitchen is fully accessible and also functions as a family kitchen with plenty of cooking and preparation space. The hob area is mounted on an electric rise and fall mechanism so that it can be adjusted to varying heights by different members of the family.

This large kitchen has walnut furniture in shaker style with white painted walls and ceiling, white worktops and white worksurfaces. The floor is a black and white chequerboard pattern. From left, sink area with large knee space beneath, and large picture window above with a dark wood venetian blind. Extra storage has been added here under a narrow worksurface which allows things to be pushed through the hatch to the next room. The sliding doors are wheelchair-friendly and allow the best possible access in this tight corner.

Walnut and Corian Kitchen, Pull-down Basket

A pull-down basket is a great way to bring shelves within reach. This model is chrome-plated, and has a smooth gas lift mechanism which returns the basket to the wall cupboard with a small push upwards.
