The brief for this interesting project was to supply a kitchen for the Chairman’s penthouse apartment at the Madjeski Stadium, on the outskirts of Reading in Berkshire. The client required an open-plan space for entertaining and, on this occasion, we were working to a designer’s brief. To give the kitchen a less fitted feel, cabinets of varying heights were used. Glass shelving lends a sense of openness, and informality, and the bar area allows pre-dinner snacks and drinks to be served. The peninsula overlooking the formal dining area allows the host to continue socialising whilst guests dine. With a very distinctive feel, this room will doubtless be the venue for many memorable post-match celebrations over the coming years. |
