The brief for this project was to design a fully accessible kitchen for our client, who is a wheelchair user, with a retro fifties feel and plenty of space for her own kitchen table and chairs
Our client selected a kitchen in sage green with contrasting wood effect carcase and brushed steel D-handle. Acid-etched glass, and curved frames on the wall units were specified by our designer to enhance the retro feel. The kitchen is accessorised with a freestanding Smeg retro refrigerator in soft green, and an integrated Fisher and Paykel stainless steel dishwasher with pull-out drawers. A corner carousel with foldaway push-in doors was incorporated, to improve access, and a pull-out heat-resistant shelf situated underneath the oven, to allow hot pans to be handled safely. This kitchen is a fun and fashionable space for serious cooking and entertaining. |
