Kitchens for Uni...
A modern, compact kitchen in a high pressure laminate finish. L-shaped layout with small sink and hob to centre of image, and integrated oven with cupboards above, and drawers beneath, to right of image. Under-cupboard lighting illuminates worksurfaces.

The brief for this project was to provide a flexible, accessible kitchen for halls of residence at the London School of Economics. Our simple layout provides a sink, hob and storage in a very compact space, without sacrificing accessibility and flexibility. High pressure laminate doors in a light wood effect finish and plenty of under-cupboard lighting illuminate the space. Contrasting edges on custom-made Corian worksurfaces create good visual contrast for visually impaired users. This practical and hardwearing kitchen is a good example of enabling design, in a university environment, bringing student facilities up to date in the most flexible way.
