Design Matters planning advice...

Start to keep a scrapbook of images and colour schemes that really appeal to you. Have a think about materials, and use the pages in our web site as inspiration.

Next, make an appointment to meet with one of our designers and view our newly refurbished showroom. This is an opportunity to see our design portfolio, view samples and the many kitchens on display, and to discuss the style, finish and accessories you have in mind. Draw up a checklist of your requirements with our designer, agree a budget for your project, and read our ‘customer feedback’ portfolio. We should be able to give you an outline estimate of cost based on the information you provide. To move to the next stage a design fee will be charged. This starts at £150 +VAT depending on where you live, and is fully refundable against an eventual order with Design Matters .

Upon payment of the design fee, we can arrange a site visit, where accurate measurements of your kitchen will be taken. On site, we will confirm your requirements and discuss design options. Our Designer will then create a full design, illustrated with state-of-the-art colour perspectives, and a detailed quotation . We want you to be completely happy with your design, and we will therefore work with you until you are completely satisfied. This process can take time, but it is time well spent as the images in our project pages demonstrate.

In order to convert a quotation to an order, a 25% deposit will be required. This is fully insured by the KBSA, our specialist industry association. We agree a window of time during which installation may take place, and order the various elements of your new kitchen. The components of the new kitchen are sourced through specialised suppliers, and held at our warehouse facility in Watford until everything is received.
